HOW TO USE

The All-Wire Retainer has been developed for 24 hour use with opposing teeth not touching the wires. Patients who use the All-Wire Retainer for 24 hours will need to use with the Clip-On System.

All-Wire Retainer Clip-on SystemCLIP-ON SYSTEM

The Clip-On system creates a “bonding mound” on the clasp of the premolar, and clips the clasp to the mound. This provides sturdy support for the All-Wire Retainer.

This keeps the All-Wire Retainer in the correct position, able to be worn for many hours. The patient does not need to remove the All-Wire Retainer when eating, brushing teeth, or playing active sports.

Correct and Effective Usage

  • Make sure that the All-Wire Retainer is secured all the way down to the base of each tooth. If the retainer is not completely seated, the retainer will not keep the correct amount of tension on the teeth. Make it a habit to always push the wire right down to the base of each tooth.
  • Never position the All-Wire Retainer by biting down on it. Biting down on the All-Wire Retainer to postion it, may cause the wire to bend out of shape or break.
  • Do not remove the All-Wire Retainer for meals. You can wear the All-Wire Retainer at all times, even during meals and playing active sports with the clip-on system. Make it a habit to wear it 24 hours a day. Should you wish to brush your teeth after meals, you do not need to remove the retainer. You should only remove it once a day in order to brush your teeth before you go to bed. It should then be placed back in position.
